Day 01: Arrive Delhi
Arrive Delhi in the evening.

Welcome to India!!

Delhi, the city is acclaimed for being the cultural capital of India. The spectacular architecture of Delhi city is evident through its antique monuments. This city witnesses an interesting blend of diverse cultures (some even 5000 years old). Delhi has always had a mysterious eternity, the city having witnessed empires rise to glory and fall to ashes. The contemporary Delhi is a culmination of seven cities built by different emperors. Ruins of this ancient city are found even today and now converted to some major tourist attractions, which can be seen during city tours. 

You will be well received on your arrival at Delhi International airport and transfer to hotel.

Day 02: Delhi
After breakfast at hotel, proceed for combined city tour of Old & New Delhi.

The city of Delhi can broadly be divided into two parts, Old Delhi and New Delhi.
Old Delhi was the capital of Delhi’s Muslim rulers notably the Mughals between 17th & 19th centuries. New Delhi on the other hand is referred to as the IMPERIAL city when the British decided to move their capital from Calcutta in 1911.

The sightseeing of Old Delhi includes a visit to Jama Masjid which is India's largest mosque, built of red sandstone and white marble in the middle of the 17th century. Red Fort, a 17th century fort complex constructed by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in the walled city of Old Delhi. Rajghat, cremation site of father of Nation- Mahatma Gandhi) and rickshaw ride through the streets of Chandni Chowk (Silver Street), once the imperial avenue down which Shah Jehan rode at the head of lavish cavalcades, is today bustling with shops, stalls and silversmiths' ateliers.

Sightseeing of New Delhi includes a visit to India Gate, built in memory of Indian soldiers killed during the First World War. Drive pass Rashtrapati Bhawan, built in the early 20th century as the Imperial residence of the Viceroy is today the official residence of the President of India and Parliament House, an unique circular building with huge colonnades, houses the Upper and Lower Houses of Parliament. Humayun's Tomb is the first Mughal garden tomb. Visitors are immediately struck by the tomb's resemblance to its more famous cousin - the Taj Mahal - with its four grand gateways, octagonal base-plan, soaring niche-shaped arches, lofty double domes and the symmetrical garden with its central canal. And finally Qutab Minar, one of Delhi’s most striking monuments, which is the world's tallest brick minaret with a height of 72.5 meters.

Day 03: Delhi/ Agra (210Kms & 4hrs drive)
After breakfast at hotel, drive towards Agra.

Agra is the city of Taj Mahal and one of the famed cities of India. Once the capital of the Mughal Empire, Agra houses one of world's most spectacular monuments - Taj Mahal. The history of Agra is much older than the times of Mughals. The Mughal rule had transformed the city into one of the great centers of art, culture, learning and commerce. Magnificent monuments in majestic work of art and architecture are still flourishing with arts and crafts including leather work and pietra dura marble-inlay work.

Arrive Agra and check in to your hotel.
 
Lunch at hotel/ local restaurant (on direct payment).

In the afternoon, proceed for city tour of Agra, visiting the massive Agra Fort- constructed out of red sand stone by the Mughal Emperor Akbar and containing the Halls of Public and Private Audience, Itmad-ud daulah, one of the most beautiful of Mughal tombs, stands across the river Yamuna and finally visit the world famous Taj Mahal at sunset, which was built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan as the mausoleum of his beloved Queen Mumtaz Mahal, after her death in 1631. The Taj Mahal is recognized worldwide as a symbol of eternal love.
Taj Mahal remains closed on Fridays.

Day 04: Agra/ Ranthambore (290Kms & 5-6hrs drive)
After breakfast at hotel, drive towards Ranthambore. On the way, visit Fatehpur Sikri (40kms from Agra).

Fatehpur Sikri, was built by Mughal Emperor Akbar. He is also reputed to be a very tolerant ruler, and the buildings at Fatehpur Sikri blended both Islamic and Hindu elements in their architectural style. One of the buildings even reflects the new syncretistic faith founded by Akbar, Din-e-ilahi, which though very short-lived remains a matter of controversy.
Continue drive to Ranthambore.

Ranthambore National Park is one of the biggest and most renowned national park in Northern India. The park is located in the Sawai Madhopur district of southeastern Rajasthan, which is about 130 km from Jaipur. Being considered as one of the famous and former hunting grounds of the Maharajas of Jaipur, today the Ranthambore National Park terrain is major wildlife tourist attraction spot that has pulled the attention of many wildlife photographers and lovers in this destination. Ranthambore National park is spread over an area of 1,334 sq km along with its nearby sanctuaries like - the Mansingh Sanctuary and the Kaila Devi Sanctuary. The park is majorly famous for its tigers and is one of the best locations in India to see the majestic predators in its natural habitat. The tigers can be easily spotted even during the day time busy at their ordinary quest- hunting and taking proper care of their young ones.

Day 05: Ranthambore
Early morning wake up and proceed for 1st Jungle Safari inside Ranthambore National Park. 
Tigers are the star attractions at the Ranthambore National Park. The chances of sighting a tiger in the park are more during early morning and before dusk, as the predator is most active during morning and evening. The other animals that you come across include marsh crocodile, sambhar, sloth bear, chinkara, wild boar, leopard, chital, nilgai, mongoose, Jungle cat and monitor lizards. The park is home to a large number of birds also. According to experts, the park is home to about 264 species of birds. 
Return and Breakfast at hotel. 

Later, you can visit other places of Ranthambore including most popular Ranthambore Fort, which was built in 10th century by the Chauhans and Jogi Mahal, which has the second largest banyan tree in India.

In the evening, proceed for 2nd Jungle Safari inside Ranthambore National Park. 
Dinner & Overnight at hotel.

Day 06: Ranthambore/ Jaipur (145Kms & 4hrs drive) 
Early morning wake up and proceed for 3rd Jungle Safari into Ranthambore National Park. 
Return and Breakfast at hotel and rest of the morning at leisure.
Lunch at hotel (included in the price).

Later, drive towards Jaipur.

Jaipur was founded by Maharaja Jai Singh II (1693-1743) and is the capital of Rajasthan. Jaipur is surrounded by hills and dotted with forts. Houses with pink latticed windows line the streets, and look almost magical at sunset. Jaipur’s regal heritage is evident in its architecture and culture. Beautifully laid out gardens and parks, attractive monuments and marvelous heritage hotels, once the residence of Maharajas are testaments to the Rajasthan of yesteryears. The arts and crafts of the state are amazing. The bazaars are a lot of fun for not just what are available, but also for the cheerful people in their traditional costumes.

Arrive Jaipur in the evening and check into your hotel.
In the evening, enjoy the Dinner at Chokhi Dhani- Ethinic Rajasthani Village in the outskirts of the city.

Day 07: Jaipur
After Breakfast at hotel, proceed to visit Amber Fort, the ancient capital of the present day rulers of Jaipur. Ascend the FORT on elephant back (subject to availability). The building of the fort palace was started by Raja Mansingh a noted general in Emperor Akbar’s army. Successive rulers later added to the fort. Its architecture is highly influenced by the Mughals.

In the afternoon, proceed to visit the Pink City of Jaipur, visiting City Palace, built between 1728 & 1732, it occupies the center of Jaipur and is surrounded by high walls. The important buildings within the Palace are textile and the costume museum, armory museum, Diwan-I-Khas and Diwan-I-am. Jantar Mantar is the largest stone observatory in the World and one of the five astronomical observatories built by Maharaja Jai Singh, the founder of Jaipur.
While return back to hotel, stop on the way for photo opportunities at the Hawa Mahal or the Palace of the Winds, possibly Jaipur’s most famous building it was built for the ladies of the harem.

Day 08: Jaipur/ Delhi (260Kms & 5-6hrs drive) & Delhi/ Fly back

Jaipur with Agra and Delhi has made a circuit, which is called India’s Golden Triangle- the most popular tourist destinations in India. Jaipur is a planned city built according to the ancient Hindu treatise “Vastu Sashtra”. The orderly bazaars of the old town are ranked among the most vibrant in Asia. Jaipur is the perfect place to shop for Handicrafts, antiques, jewelry, gems, pottery, carpets, textiles, metalwork and leather ware. Jaipur is renowned for hand- dyed and embroidered textiles, Handicrafts, antiques, pottery, carpets, jewellery and the best selection of precious stones and metals in India.

Day 04 (09th March 2017) Thu: Jaipur
After breakfast at hotel, proceed to visit Amber Fort, the ancient capital of Jaipur.

Amber Fort is built on the crest of a rocky hill behind the Maota Lake in the outskirt of Jaipur. Amber was the capital of the Kuchwaha rajputs from 1037- 1728. Ascend the Fort on elephant back (subject to availability). Amber Fort has a magnificent Palace compound. One can enter the Palace complex through Suraj Pole (Sun Gate) and step into Jaleb Chowk, where one can have elephant ride. Singh Pole (Lion Gate) give the access to the palaces. Diwan- i- Am (public Audience), Ganesh Pole, Sheesh Mahal, Jas Mandir (temple), Sukh Mahal and the Palace of Mansingh I are worth visiting.

In the afternoon, visit Sanganer village in the outskirt of Jaipur, which is famous for handmade paper industry and textile printing. The crafts created in this town are really unique and that is the reason, they are not loved by Indians as well as by foreigners.

Day 05 (10th March 2017) Fri: Jaipur/ Agra (230Kms & 5-6hrs drive)
After early breakfast at hotel, drive to Agra. On the way, visit Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary and Fatehpur Sikri (17Kms further from Bharatpur).

The Keoladeo Ghana National Park or Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary in Rajasthan is a famous Bird sanctuary that witness thousands of rare and highly endangered birds such as the Siberian Crane come here during the winter season. Over 230 species of birds are known to have made this National Park their home. It was declared a protected sanctuary in 1971 and it is also a World Heritage Site.

Lunch at local restaurant and continue drive towards Agra via Fatehpur Sikri.

Fatehpur Sikri, was built by Mughal Emperor Akbar between 1569- 1585, when he shifted his capital from Agra. But after a few years, the water supply was incapable of sustaining the population and the capital was shifted back to Agra. Now it is a deserted city and also called a ghost city but it is perfectly preserved. Akbar was a very tolerant ruler and the buildings at Fatehpur Sikri blended both Islamic and Hindu architecture. One of the buildings even reflects the new religion or faith founded by Akbar’- “Din-e-ilahi”, which was very short-lived. He abolished much hated poll- tax on non- muslims (Jizya) and was the first Mughal ruler to marry a Hindu (Rajut princess from Jaipur). It is a beautiful palace complex with Hindu and Muslim artistic buildings. You can visit Birbal’s Palace (Hindu building), Jodhbai’s Palace (Hindu building), Jami Masjid, Tomb of Sheikh Salim Chishti and Buland Darwaza etc. Buland Darwaza is also called “Gate of Magnificence’. It is the highest gateway in the world. One has to climb 42 steps to reach this gateway, which is 40mtr high and 35mtr wide.

Continue drive towards Agra.

Agra is famous for world’s most beautiful monument of love- Taj Mahal. The history of Agra is much older than the times of Mughals but during the Mughal Empire, Agra had become one of the great centers of art, culture, learning and commerce. All the great monuments with magnificent work of art and craft are still flourishing in the city including leather work and pietra dura marble-inlay work. Agra is famous for its marble work like tabletops, vases and trays, inlaid with semi-precious stones or gems in ornate floral designs, an imitation of those found in the Taj Mahal. Agra is also an excellent place to buy leather, as it exports shoes, bags, briefcases and jackets.

Day 06 (11th March 2017) Sat: Agra
After breakfast at hotel, proceed for city tour of Agra, visiting the famous Taj Mahal- which was built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan as the mausoleum of his beloved Queen Mumtaz Mahal, after her death in 1631. The Taj Mahal is recognized worldwide as a symbol of eternal love. Taj Mahal remains closed on Fridays.
Later, visit the massive Agra Fort- constructed out of red sand stone by the Mughal Emperor Akbar and containing the Halls of Public and Private Audience.

In the afternoon, proceed to visit Itmad-ud daulah- one of the most beautiful of Mughal tombs, stands across the river Yamuna and later, enjoy Taj Mahal at sunset from Mehtab Bagh from across river Yamuna.

Day 07 (12th March 2017) Sun: Agra/ Corbett (350Kms & 7-8hrs drive)
After early Breakfast at hotel, drive towards Corbett National Park.

Located in the foothills of the Himalayas is the majestic Corbett National Park in the state of Uttarakhand. Home to a variety of flora and fauna, it is famous for its wild population of Tigers, Leopards and Elephants. Corbett National Park was established in 1936, as the Hailey National Park. India's first national park and the first sanctuary to come under Project Tiger, Corbett supports a variety of vegetation making it the ideal habitat for the Tiger and its prey. Once a popular hunting ground of the British, this park (area: 1318.54 sq. km. including 520 sq. km. of core area of and 797.72 sq. km. of buffer area) was named in honor of the late Jim Corbett, the legendary hunter-naturalist turned author and photographer who most of his years in this area and contributed in setting up this park.

Day 08 (13th March 2017) Mon: Corbett National Park
Wake early in the morning and proceed for 1st Jungle Safari inside Corbett National Park to see tigers & other wild animals.
Return to hotel for breakfast and rest of the morning at leisure to enjoy the pool or indoor games etc.

After Lunch at hotel, proceed for 2nd Jungle Safari inside Corbett National Park to see tigers & other wild animals.
Dinner & Overnight at hotel.

Day 09 (14th March 2017) Tue: Corbett/ Delhi (280Kms & 6- 7hrs drive)After breakfast at hotel, drive towards Delhi.
Lunch on the way at local restaurant.
Arrive Delhi in the afternoon and check into your hotel.
Rest of the day at leisure.
Dinner will be served at a local restaurant.
Overnight at hotel.

Day 10 (15th March 2017) Wed: Delhi/ Amritsar- Train
After breakfast at hotel, you will be transferred to railway station to board Train- Shatabdi Express (0720/ 1330) to Amritsar. (Breakfast will be served on board- By Indian Railways).
Amritsar is a holy city in the state of Punjab. The city is famous for its Golden Temple. Amritsar is a combination of 2 words Amrit and Sar. Amrit means “Nectar” and Sar means sarovar or lake, which means the "holy pool of nectar" around the Golden Temple. Amritsar is a spiritual and cultural center of the Sikh religion and famous for its unique Gurdwara (place of worship)- The Golden Temple, which was initiated by Guru Ramdaas Ji- the fourth Sikh Guru and it was completed in 1601 by his successor Guru Arjan Dev Ji. Today, it is a major pilgrimage centre for Sikh and one of the most popular tourist destinations in India.

You will be well received on your arrival at Amritsar railway station and transfer to hotel.
Arrive Hotel and check into your rooms.

After dinner at hotel, proceed to visit the famous Golden Temple to witness night (closing) ceremony.
There is Palki Sahib Ceremony in the Golden Temple which takes place twice a day. Palki Sahib Ceremony (night ceremony) is when the holy book Guru Granth Sahib is carried to a room for night stay. This is symbolic gesture.

Day 11 (16th March 2017) Thu: Amritsar
After breakfast at hotel, proceed for city tour of Amritsar, visiting the famous Golden Temple & Jaliawalan Bagh.
Golden Temple: This sacred Sikh shrine attracts pilgrims from all over the world who come there to pay their respects and do voluntary service. Incredibly, the number of visitors per year rivals the Taj Mahal in Agra. The main temple looks particularly arresting at night when it’s beautifully lit up, with its imposing pure gold dome illuminated. The temple complex is open for almost 20 hours, from 6 a.m. to 2 a.m. It's well worth two visits -- during the day and night. Heads must be covered and shoes removed when you enter the temple.

Jallianwala Bagh: Jallianwala Bagh (Garden) is 5minute walk from the Golden Temple, and is the site of the 1919 Amritsar massacre. On April 13 of that year, British Indian Army soldiers opened fire on an unarmed gathering of men, women and children. The firing lasted about 10 minutes and 1650 rounds were fired, killing 1579 people. A memorial was built on the site and inaugurated by the then-President of India, Dr. Rajendra Prasad, on 13 April 1961. to this day the bullet holes can be seen on the walls and adjoining buildings. The well into which many people jumped and drowned attempting to save themselves from the hail of bullets is also a protected monument inside the park.

In the later afternoon, proceed to Indo- Pak Border (Wagah Border)to witness the Flag retreat ceremony, which is unique and worth visiting. The border is about 30Kms from Amritsar, where the soldiers from both the countries march in perfect drill with great enthusiasm and going through the steps of bringing down their respective national flags. The crowed from both the sides chanting slogans for their country and encouraging their soldiers amidst thunderous applause.

Day 12 (17th March 2017) Fri: Amritsar/ Delhi- Train
After Tea/ coffee at hotel, you will be transferred to railway station to board Train- Shatabdi Express (0515/ 1145) to Delhi. (Breakfast will be served on board- By Indian Railways)

You will be well received on your arrival at Delhi railway station and transfer to hotel, where rooms are booked for your short stay (Day Use).

Lunch at hotel and rest of the afternoon at leisure for shopping etc.
Farewell Dinner will be provided at the hotel.
Later in the evening, you will be transferred to Delhi International airport to board your flight back home!
